Synopsis

It's a rainy day and you find shelter in a hair salon. Now you will have to decide whether to cut your hair or not. Will a haircut cure your melancholy?

Director's biography

Ioanna Digenaki (b.1994) studied Film at the School of Fine Arts, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She graduated in 2022, with a specialization in transmedia storytelling and character-building through social media.
Her first animated short film ‘Trixes’ was screened at the 45th Drama ISFF (Special Mention Award in National Student competition) and 63rd Thessaloniki IFF, among others.
Although film is her main medium, Ioanna uses a wide range of practices to articulate her creative vision, including performance, painting, web and graphic design and gaming. Her work is inspired by the absurd beauty of digital self-presentation, screenshots and exploring notions of melancholy in everyday life.
Ioanna has worked in the directorial and casting department for Greek and International productions for shorts, feature films, TV series (Apple TV, Cosmote TV, Heretic Films), as well as theater productions (‘Mensch Am Draht’ - CyberRauber), while also developing her own projects.
