Yesterday we were proud to welcome the distinguished Portuguese animator Fernando Galrito in Sofia. The Artistic Director of the MONSTRA Festival and esteemed teacher at the Escola Superior de Artes in Caldas da Rainha gave us the honour to curate the extraordinary exhibition, "100 Years of Portuguese Animation."
Working closely with Professor Radost Neykova from NATFA, Galrito meticulously assemble a remarkable collection of 43 animation photographs. This visually stunning exhibit beautifully trace the rich history and creative evolution of Portuguese animation, from its inception in 1923 to the vibrant works of today.
Festival attendees will have the extraordinary opportunity to embark on an immersive journey, exploring the remarkable artistry and innovation that has characterized Portuguese animation over the past century.
The exhibition serve as the centerpiece for the opening of the Early Bird International Student Film Festival on November 01, 2023 at 17:30 at NATFA Hall, 20 Stefan Karadja str.
