Synopsis

A child's first year alive finds him entangled in the Ukraine’s Refugee Crisis. His mother fights to get him a EU passport as the threat of nuclear war looms on.

Director's biography

Valentin-Rareș Fogoroș is an emerging documentary film director from Bucharest, Romania. Coming from a background in advertising, social photography, publishing and experimental hands-on documentary work, Valentin is currently studying the MA of Documentary Filmmaking at UNATC Bucharest. His work focuses on raw observation of minorities, always immersing himself in the story of the subject. Having lived outside Romania for over half his live, Valentin's documentary work encompasses a duality of both Eastern and Western perspectives. Recently, Valentin co-authored a book with Erik Kessels, a well-known Dutch book publisher. He is currently working on two other films, both focusing on social issues.
