Director's biography

Nikola Zdravković, born in 1992 in Kruševac, earned his BA and MA degrees in Film directing from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. Following his education, he spent two years working at Radio Television of Serbia, where he directed over 200 episodes of various TV shows. Currently, he serves as an assistant director in both films and TV series.

Nikola has also directed several noteworthy short films, including "My Soul Hurts Tonight," which received the award for the best Serbian film at the Students Film Festival in Belgrade in 2014. His film "Backwards" was selected for the New Talent category at FIPA Biarritz, and it received accolades such as the best Ex-YU film at FekK Ljubljana, the best screenplay at the Montenegro Film Festival in Herceg Novi, and the best film at Valjevski Filmski Susreti, among others. "Backwards" has been featured in more than 30 festivals across over 10 countries. His short film "Gils" was selected at the Martovski Festival in 2018.

Notably, Nikola's debut feature film, "Silvana," was part of the First Films First workshop from 2019 to 2020 and received funding for its screenplay and project development from the Film Center Serbia.
