Anima

by Kristin Ivanova

National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts, Bulgaria

Synopsis

The film interweaves the stories of three women, seemingly different from each other, but connected by a common trauma - domestic violence. They bare themselves in front of the camera to make viewers realize what it’s like to come face to face with this civilizational problem. Their revelations tell of their strength of spirit, of shattered dreams and coming to terms with it, of the courage to stand up to your fears and, above all, of salvation.
