Synopsis

The clock is ticking for a foreigner, an immigrant faced with the coldblooded bureaucracy of a foreign country, as he tries to prove he is related to his younger sister and prevent separation. Nobody hears their voices, lost in translation.

Director's biography

Lovro Mrđen is born in 1995 in Zagreb, Croatia where he enrolled Academy of Dramatic Art, Directing Department. Since the beginning of his studies, Lovro was directing awarded short films and music videos. He was also awarded double Rector’s Awards for the project “Opera Agrippina” and international collaboration “Projekt: Pravda”. “Fabijan”, film which he wrote and directed, is his first short narrative professional film premiered at Zagreb Film Festival in 2016. “Fabijan” was screened on 13 film festivals around the world and won four awards. In 2016, he also starts working on TV talks shows as a writer and director. In 2017 Lovro worked in Croatian Youth Theatre as a director for promo films and commercials and has directed his first documentary film “Patrola Uran” which was premiered in 2018 at ZagrebDox.
