Synopsis

A potter's daughter sneaks into her father's workshop at night to draw the outline of her shadow on a wall. Her drawing comes to life. When the potter discovers them, he becomes so furious that he locks his daughter in one of his pots. She grows old and shrivels up... until she regains freedom of movement ?

Director's biography

Edern Guichard work as a night watchman in a hotel whose main door is broken while preparing his next documentary short. In 2019, he directed the short film Citadelle for La Rochelle International Film Festival, in collaboration with a group of inmates of Saint-Martin-de-Ré’s prison. The potter’s daughter is his graduation film from EMCA (Ecole des Métiers du Cinéma d’Animation – Angoulême).
