Synopsis

Julie and Waleed, two kids at the start of their teenage years, escape the stifling atmosphere of a restaurant and the never-ending political noise in Palestine. Together, they sneak off on a spontaneous adventure through nature, finding a brief moment of freedom by the river and fields. As they connect and explore, reality and dreams blur, leaving their journey as a memory that feels almost like a dream.

Director's biography

Nisreen is a Palestinian film director with eight years of experience, passionate about Art house cinema and storytelling that explores identity, displacement, and cultural complexities. She has worked across various roles in film, including Set Decorator, Prop Master, Art Director, and Assistant Director on both feature films and shorter projects. Her directorial work includes 10 Min. Younger (2024), Akacje by IKARVS (2023), and the upcoming documentary Uncivilized Roots, blending narrative and experimental elements. Nisreen’s films reflect her unique vision of capturing the Palestinian experience within a global context.
