Synopsis

Two years after their grandfather’s death, Farah, Rana, and Leil (3 cousins) return to their childhood home for one last time.

Director's biography

Fatema Yasser is a visual artist who studied applied sciences and arts at GUC in Egypt and is currently working on her master's degree in Cinematography at FAMU. During her college years, she worked on various projects as a one-man crew, creating visual poems and experimenting with the film medium.

Yasser also has a strong interest in photography and has showcased her work in exhibitions, including the "Untold Stories About Everything & Nothing" exhibition at Photopia in Egypt in 2019, in addition to other exhibitions and commercial photoshoots. Alongside her artistic pursuits, she has also worked as a cinematographer on multiple short films and advertisements. Yasser's films tend to explore the human state and emotions through a frozen moment in time. She is particularly interested in portraying complex relationships, often drawing inspiration from her personal experiences.
