Morning Coffee

Synopsis

A young primary school teacher - Ana (27) defines her day by the fortune card she gets with her coffee. When her fortune card comes true (for example she gets “Money” and then finds a coin on the street), her world is structured and she feels good. In her free time, Ana practices folk dances, reads romantic novels. One day, however, her fortune does not come true - she gets the fortune card “Love” but does not meet anyone. From that moment on, things fall apart for her. Suddenly, she loses the security she has built up in everyday life through the fortune cards, and begins to lose control at all levels of her life - in her personal relationships, in her professional relationships…

Director's biography

Mariya Andonova is born on August 2, 1997. She graduated 91. German language high school “Prof. Konstantin Galabov” in Sofia. She has a bachelor’s degree in “Psychology”, completed at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. She also has a bachelor’s degree in “Film and Television directing”, completed at the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts “Krastyo Sarafov”. She is currently studying for a master’s degree in “Screenwriting” at the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts “Krastyo Sarafov”. Mariya speaks English and German at C1 level, for which she has “CAE (Cambridge English: Advanced)” and “DSD (Deutsches Sprachdiplom)”. Mariya has shot short films in various genres, she has worked in various formats on BTV television. She also participated in the “TV Academy” of the Bulgarian National Television.
