Synopsis

Two sisters go to their countryside home after their mother’s death. The “calm” in their lives is disrupted by a group of young people with their caravan and a researcher’s narration about the creation of the petrified forest.

Director's biography

Galatia Lagoutari was born in Athens in '98. She studied Cinema at AUTH, School of Fine Arts and attended photography classes at Stereosis. Her work includes “Pitylos” and “Lost Gardenias". Pitylos was selected for the Student Film Section at the 2024 Sarajevo Film Festival and other film festivals worldwide and is nominated for Iris Student Award from the Hellenic Film Academy (2025). Lost Gardenias is a short documentary created at Looking China Youth Film Project. She was selected for Talents Sarajevo (2025) in Camera Studio. She specializes in scriptwriting, directing and cinematography.
