Synopsis

At a Berlin swimming pool, a young white feminist’s beliefs are challenged when a woman her age enters the pool wearing a hijab. Their encounter sparks an unexpected tension — one that blurs the line between confrontation and attraction.

Director's biography

Magda is an independent filmmaker of Polish-Egyptian descent, born in Dubai and raised in Warsaw from the age of six. A psychology graduate, she is currently honing her filmmaking skills at FilmArche, a self-organized film school in Berlin, while also working on her graduate film at Warsaw Film School. Her diverse portfolio includes work as a director, producer, editor and assistant director both in feature and documentary shorts, such as The Visit, My Place, Czarnobyl, The Gaze, and Inferno.
