Synopsis

Carpeting for kings, from the heart of the Rhodope Mountains. Marvelous colors, unparalleled sizes, and countless knots emerge from the skillful hands of weavers who, over the years, have perfected the craft. One family and the last 20 craftswomen—will they manage to preserve this demanding art that brings other people joy without youth and support?

Director's biography

Mihail Atanasov was born in Ruse, Bulgaria. There he graduated from "Vocational High School of River Shipbuilding and Shipping" with an electrician profile. He began his creative career in his hometown, where he joined a theater school under the artistic direction of Lubomir Kanev. He won numerous awards for both leading and supporting actor roles. This marked the start of his journey as an actor at the Ruse Drama Theater 'Sava Ognyanov.' He performed in 'Private Ear', 'Three Sisters,' directed by Armen Dzhigarkhanyan, Yuri Vasilievich Klepikov and much more. In 2021, he was accepted into NATFIZ 'Krastyo Sarafov,' in the Screen Arts Faculty, majoring in 'Film and TV Directing.'
